Kate Middleton Shook Off Prince William's Hand on Her Shoulder

  • During BBC's A Berry Royal Christmas with Mary Berry, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was seen shaking off Prince William's touch.
  • Fans immediately took to Twitter to document and speculate over the awkward moment.

When the world is watching your every move, it means that it will inevitably catch the moment you shake off unwanted PDA from your royal husband. Especially if that moment is broadcast on a holiday TV special.

During BBC's A Berry Royal Christmas with Mary Berry, which aired last night in the United Kingdom, a brief clip showed Duchess Kate swinging her arm away from Prince William, who formerly had his hand rested on her shoulder.

People immediately took to Twitter to speculate over the seemingly awkward moment.

"That man did something to that girl...no doubt," one user wrote.

Still, if social media has taught us anything, it's that things are never what they seem on the Internet. Maybe it was a muscle spasm, or maybe William had unusually sweaty hands. Or maybe, just maybe there's absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting to accept your partner's PDA all the time.

Whatever the case, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were still clearly in good spirits during the show. The two competed with the illustrious chef and Nadiya Hussain, a former winner of The Great British Bake Off, to make the perfect roulade.

Berry asked the duchess, "Does William ever cook for you?"

Kate responded, "He sometimes does, actually. He's very good at breakfast. University days, he used to cook all sorts of meals. I think that was when he was trying to impress me, Mary! Things like Bolognese sauce and things like that."
